PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for efficiently producing an absorbent articles, wherein water-absorbing resin particles are uniformly fixed to fibers both before and after water absorption, the water-absorbing resin can be contained at a high ratio to the fibers and the absorbent article has, even if the article is very thin, softness and long-term shape stability. SOLUTION: The process for producing the absorbent articles includes a step for pressing the absorbent articles, wherein the absorbent article contains water-absorbing resin composites, each of which composites comprises one nearly spherical water-absorbing resin particle and two or more fibers, one or more of which fibers are partially embedded in the resin particle and partially exposed and at least another of which fibers is partially bonded to the surface of the resin particle without being embedded in the resin particle.
