PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain bulky and bleached chemical pulp for papermaking use, and to obtain bulky paper by papermaking using the bleached chemical pulp as the raw material. SOLUTION: The bleached chemical pulp is obtained by blending Eucalyptus diversicolor as a raw material woodchip with the other chip in the weight proportion, on a solid basis, of 30-90% based on the total chip followed by digesting and bleaching the resultant blended chip, or by digesting and bleaching Eucalyptus diversicolor chip alone. The bulky paper is obtained by papermaking using the former bleached chemical pulp as the raw material, or by blending the latter bleached chemical pulp with the other pulp in the weight ratio of (30-90):(10-70) on a solid basis followed by papermaking.
