PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cyclic ether (an iodide of a perfluoro group-containing cyclic ether) usable as a raw material for a fluorine-containing product such as a surfactant, an agrochemical, a medicine, a heating medium, a reaction solvent and an alternative fluorocarbon, and a synthetic intermediate of a fluorine-containing plastic product. SOLUTION: The compound is the cyclic ether obtained by bonding at least one iodine element to a carbon atom constituting the ring of the saturated cyclic perfluoroether represented by the general formula (wherein, m and n are each 0 or an integer of 1-4; l is an integer of 1-2; with the proviso that the total of m and n is an integer of 3 or 4) or the like.
