PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an azolidine derivative exhibiting excellent activity as an active ingredient for a herbicide. SOLUTION: The azolidine derivative represented by general formula (1) [R1is a halogen, an alkyl, an alkoxy, a haloalkyl, a haloalkoxy, a haloalkylthio or a haloalkylenedioxy; m is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and when m is 2, 3, 4 or 5, 2-5 R1s are the same or different; R2is an alkyl; X is an alkylidene, an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; A is a group of formula (2) or the like (Q is an alkyl; Q-hal is a haloalkyl)].
