PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet peeling device and method capable of peeling a sheet affixed to a plate member, and winding up a series of the sheet. SOLUTION: The sheet peeling device comprises a winding means 16 for winding the sheet S affixed on a disc base plate D, and an affixing means 17 for affixing connecting tape in a state of partially projected out to form a non-adhesive area on an outer peripheral part of the sheet. The winding means 16 is relatively moved to the disc base plate D to peel the sheet S from a winding tip end portion toward a winding rear end portion. When the sheet S is wound up till the winding rear end portion, the non-adhesive area of the connecting tape affixed to the winding rear end portion is rolled and stuck to the winding tip end portion of the sheet S on the disc base plate that becomes a next peeling target.
