PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bankbook from being stained with ink and being broken by an ink-jet printer which prints to the bankbook. SOLUTION: A printing head with an ink discharging part 15 is mounted on a carrier and moves in an X axis direction. The carrier holds a card holder 7 for retaining the bankbook 6, and a pair of card rollers 8 with minute dents and projections formed on surfaces is set at the card holder 7. The ink discharging part 15 is arranged slant with an inclination by only an angle 20 to the X axis. A mask 9 formed of a hard member in a thickness of approximately 0.1-0.5mm is fitted between the pair of card rollers 8 at a bottom face of the card holder 7. A mask slot 18 is formed at a position opposite to the ink discharging part 15 of the mask 9 to be slant with an inclination by only the angle 20 to the X axis.
