<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which is excellent in fixability, water resistance, and printing properties, and can be printed on plain paper without causing a cockling, and to provide particularly a pigment ink composition for ink-jet recording. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition which contain at least a coloring material, a dispersant, and a solvent, is characterised by using, as the main solvent, a monoalkyl ether monoalkyl ester compound or a dialkyl ester compound of a (poly)alkylene glycol having a surface tension of≥25 mN/m at 20°C, visosity of 1-20 cP, a vapor pressure of≤0.2 hPa and a boiling point of≥150°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
