<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system having improved convenience and operability, by altering the initial menu screen according to dynamic environments and conditions. <P>SOLUTION: The navigation system has an initial menu screen control means for altering the initial menu screen to be displayed on a display, according to the present location of a car at the actuation of the navigation system.
