<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a much more accurate and quick operation to execute character string designation or range designation by limiting the movement of a cursor in position designation only to the arraying direction of characters. <P>SOLUTION: This character information input device is provided with a character information processor such as a personal computer having a display means such as a liquid crystal display 22 for displaying character information at a cursor position displayed on a display face 22a of the display means according to a proper text input program such as a text converting program based on a keyboard operation, a text converting program based on a voice signal or a character recognition program based on an optical method and a remote control unit 30 connected to the character information processor. The remote control unit is provided with a moving operator 32 for moving the cursor only to the arraying direction of characters and selecting operators 33, 34 and 35 for executing the position designation and range decision of the start point and end point of a character string selected from at least the character information displayed on the display surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
