<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of fixing a tension member by which work of fixing a tension member is easily conducted and manufacturing cost is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of fixing a tension member, a support table 4, a metal fitting 5 for holding a tension member fixing plate and the tension member fixing plate 6 are used, the support table 4 is fixed to a splice box or the like and the metal fitting 5 for holding the tension member fixing plate is put on top of the support table 4. The tension member fixing plate 6 is inserted between the metal fitting for holding the tension member fixing plate 5 and the support table 4 in a freely insertable and extractable manner and pressing screws 10 are mounted on pressing screw holes. An optical fiber cable 1 is supported by the support table 4, a tension member 2 is inserted into a tension member inserting groove, the tension member fixing plate 6 is moved on top of the tension member 2, the tension member groove is covered, and while the tension member is engaged to the groove, the screws are tightened and fixed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
