<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle speed control device capable of accurately and rapidly determining the interruption of constant-speed running control by temporary acceleration. <P>SOLUTION: Since a throttle opening is estimated from the drive signals of a throttle actuator by using the control model of the throttle actuator, actual throttle openings in consideration of the response characteristics (integration characteristics and waste time) of the throttle actuator included in the control model can be provided. Based on the results thus obtained, the determination of the interruption of the constant-speed running (temporary acceleration or not) is performed. Accordingly, it can be accurately determined that the vehicle is temporarily accelerated or not, and such possibility that the actual determination of the temporary acceleration by a driver is delayed as in a conventional device can be eliminated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
