PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which recognition of a seam between display panels by an observer can be reduced and a high quality image can be obtained, in a large-sized screen constituted by joining a plurality of display panels. SOLUTION: In the image display device 100 in which at least two display panels, e.g. 101a to 101e are arrayed and which displays an image, and each of the display panels 101a to 101e has an image display part 220 having a plurality of pixels 305; and adjacent display panels are so arranged that only peripheral parts 210 of the display panels are put one over the other.
