PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that, when building of a shutter member into a connector body of an optical connector, a larger number of components of the shutter member etc., a more intricate structure and a higher manufacturing cost are resulted; the application to the optical connector having a large restriction in the structure of the standardized shutter member is impossible and the optical connector lacks versatility. SOLUTION: The connector body of the optical connector is provided with a plug mounting hole and the shutter member which is integrally formed with a shutter section capable of shutting exit light within the plug mounting hole and an anchor section for attaching to the connector body and is made of an elastic material. An anchor hole which can be inserted and fixed with the anchor section of the shutter member in parallel to the plug mounting direction from front is formed in the side wall section of the connector body. In building the shutter member, the shutter section of the shutter member is inserted into the plug mounting hole and when the anchor section of the shutter member is inserted into the anchor hole from the front, the anchor section is elastically deformed to a resetting side and is fixed and held in a manner that its removal is prevented.
