PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device where the deviation of a heating belt is inexpensively and effectively suppressed by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: When the heating belt 1 is deviated to one side, a supporting member 11 is pushed through a belt guide 13 and a spring 14, so that rotational force is generated over a whole unit supported by the supporting member 11. Since the supporting member 11 is rotated and operated (inclined) by centering a shaft 9, the shaft of the heating roller 3 is lifted up on the side where the belt is deviated and belt tension is increased, and the shaft of the heating roller 3 is simultaneously pushed down on an opposite side and the belt tension is reduced. Thus, moving force works to the heating belt 1 from a side where the belt tension is increased to a side where it is reduced, so that the heating belt 1 starts moving to the opposite side after the supporting member 11 is rotated by only a specified angle.
