PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with a cleaning part capable of exhibiting stable cleaning performance over a prolonged period of time. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a photoreceptor 11, a charging section 12, an exposure section 13, a developing section 14, a transfer section 15 and a cleaning section 16 with two brush rollers 17_1, 17_2 which comprise a rotating shaft and brush fibers and are rotated while keeping the tips of the brush fibers in contact with the photoreceptor 11 to remove toner remaining on the surface of the photoreceptor 11 after transfer, wherein the two brush rollers are arranged in the cleaning section 16 so that the tips of the brush fibers come in contact with the photoreceptor 11 with greater tip force per brush fiber of the first brush roller 17_1 than tip force per brush fiber of the second brush roller 17_2.
