PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a shield member for reducing the thickness and size of an electric connector. SOLUTION: In this electric connector 100, a cable assembly 200 formed by connecting conductive shield layers 213 for the coaxial cables 210 by a gland bar 220 extending in the width direction is connected to be inserted/disconnected into/from a counterpart side electric connector. This electric connector 100 is provided with a housing 110, a first contact 120, and a second contact 120. The first contact 130 is provided with a first crimping part 121, which is brought into crimping with an inside insulating coating layer 212 and the terminal end of a core line 211 in each of the coaxial cable in the cable assembly, and a first contact part 122 touching the counterpart side electric contact. The second contact 130 is provided with a second crimping part 131, which is brought into crimping with the inside insulating coating layer protruded in the depth direction from the conductive shield layer and the terminal end of the core line in a part of the coaxial cables set for gland connection in the cable assembly, and a second contact part 132 touching the gland bar.
