<p>1285550 Benzodiazepine derivatives BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM GmbH 8 April 1970 [9 April 1969] 16696/70 Heading C2C Compounds I in which R 1 is pyridyl optionally substituted by methyl or halo or an R 4 -substituted phenyl group; R 2 is alkyl or alkenyl of up to 4 C; R 3 is H, halo, N0 2 , CF 3 or CN and R 4 is H, halo, alkyl, CF 3 or NO 2 , are prepared by reacting the compound R i hal with a compound I where R 1 is H. Compounds 1 where R 1 is pyridyl optionally substituted by methyl or halo or a nitrophenyl group are novel. Pharmaceutical compositions comprise a compound I together with a suitable excipient or diluent and are administered orally, rectally or parenterally as psychosedatives and anticonvulsants.</p> |
