PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which prevents occurrence of inconvenience due to UV in the vacuum cleaner provided with a UV lamp. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner provided with the UV lamp 12 on a surface opposing a floor surface of a floor suction tool 1 is provided with: a moving detection means 13 for detecting the presence/absence of moving of the floor suction tool 1; and a control part 16 controled not to make the UV lamp 12 light when the moving detection means 13 detects that the floor suction tool 1 is stopped.
