PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side support device constituted so as to appropriately select an attaching position of a driving device without the need of a large housing space. SOLUTION: In the side support device 2 of a vehicle seat attached inside a seat back 12 served as the backrest part of a crew member by being erected upwardly in the vehicle seat 1 and provided with a support member 21 freely rotatable to a center axis e extended in a vertical direction, a cam member 23 for rotating the support member 21 by abutting on the support member 21 and moved in the vertical direction parallel to the center axis e is provided.
