A support arm (5) for holding glass panels, e.g. for staircase edging, balcony edges etc., has a clamp grip at the free end to secure into holes (10) bored into the edges of the panels and with a swivel connection to an adaptor which fits onto fixed support mountings (2). The swivel axis is at right angles to the plane of the panel. The adjustable mounting covers tolerances and allows fitting to pre-bored holes. The design can be extended to double support arms with separately adjustable arms and a central mounting.
