A UV-drying lustering preparation (I) based on (A) organic compound(s) of precious or non-precious metals, for decorating ceramic, porcelain and glass, also contains (B) cationically-polymerisable monomer(s) and (C) initiator(s) for cationic polymerisation. An independent claim is also included for a method for coating ceramic substrates by applying preparation (I) and hardening the coating with UV light.
