Vibration occurs in a drive device and upper and lower diverting sheaves when a cage and a balance weight are lifted and lowered is not transmitted from guide rails to wall surfaces of a lifting/lowering path. Vibration-insulating means (41, 42, 43) are arranged between a foundation (30), which supports a drive device (21) and an upper diverting sheave (24), and supporting means (36, 37, 38), respectively, of respective guide rails (11R, 18R, 11L). Further, vibration-insulating means (54, 55) are respectively arranged between vertical members (51, 52) of a supporting frame (50), supporting lower diverting sheaves (22, 23), and a horizontal member (53). This cuts off a vibration transmission path from the drive device (21), the upper diverting sheave (24), and the lower diverting sheaves (22, 23) to side walls of the lifting/lowering path.
