FIELD: means for protection of a human-being against small arms. SUBSTANCE: the armored vest has a front small shelf and a back made of laminated high-modulus fabric, provided with a ventilation-shock-absorbing support, and armor members, protective armored apron, collar, hinged strip, visor in the upper part of the back, fasteners of the vest components, means for adjusting the vest to the figure of the human-being, waist-belt, the shoulder pads are provided with stops for the belts of the carried equipment and the weapon stock. The armored vest is provided with a detachable cover for the armor plates with the apron and the hinged strip fastened to the front small shelf by snap hooks and installed under the fly-away shelf, whose lateral sides in the upper part are stitched to a cone. The detachable cover for the armor plates is provided with strong synthetic belts with a loop at the ends enveloping the bottom of the amour pate and attached by the loop to the cover snap hooks, and on the lateral surface of the hinged strip- by a strip of synthetic tape.
