<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate for CTP, which is sensitive to light in a near-infrared area, which can be handled in a bright room, which dispenses with development and a wiping operation, and which hardly causes scumming even if the quantity of dampening water is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In this planographic printing plate, direct writing can be performed by the photoirradiation of an original plate with a hydrophilic-resin photosensitive layer which is constituted by crosslinking a photosensitive resin composition composed of a hydrophilic polymer, a crosslinking agent and an optical absorbent; hydrophilicity of a surface of an irradiated area is changed to have an affinity for the ink; a development process is dispensed with; and a silicate is contained in the hydrophilic-resin photosensitive layer. Preferably, a hydrophobic polymer is further contained in the photosensitive resin composition.
