PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera with remote controller which can transmit picture data to the remote controller from a camera main body in a short time and which has a display means. SOLUTION: A main control means 7 controls a system in such a way that it transmits picture data to the remote controller 3 through a connector 9 when the connector 9 is connected to a connection terminal 12, and transmits conversion data whose data amount is smaller than original picture data to the remote controller 3 through a main body communication means 11 when the connector 9 is not connected to the connection terminal 12.
