PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stereoselectively introducing an asymmetric center at the adjacent hetero-site under a simple condition. SOLUTION: This optically active carboxylic acid derivative represented by formula (1a) is produced by performing the rearrangement reaction of a compound of formula (2a) under a heating condition. In the formulas, R1is a 1-20C hydrocarbon group; X1is a leaving group; Z is a 1-10C bivalent hydrocarbon group; and ring A is a 5- to 11-membered heterocyclic group. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
