PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a globular motor capable of rotating a rotating body in an arbitrary direction with no intervention of a complex power transmission mechanism. SOLUTION: A globular motor 1 comprises a globular body 2 incorporating a first space R1, a plurality of electromagnets 6 arrayed on sphere in the first space R1, a material 7 which reacts with a magnet and so provided in a second space R2 as to occupy a part of the second space R2 formed between the plurality of electromagnets 6 and the inner peripheral surface of the globular body 2, a power supply 9 capable of outputting a current supplied to the plurality of electromagnets 6, and a control unit 11 which controls energization from the power supply 9 to the plurality of electromagnets 6. The control unit 11 turns ON/OFF of energization to the plurality of electromagnets 6 for each electromagnet 6 or as a group of the electromagnets 6 so that the material 7 moves in the second space R2.
