PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary cell using a novel inspection method to determine faulty electrode groups. SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (i) forming a group of electrodes 16 including a positive electrode 13, a negative electrode 14 and a separator 15 disposed between the positive electrode 13 and the negative electrode 14; (ii) applying a predetermined nondirect current voltage between the positive electrode 13 and the negative electrode 14 for a period; and (iii) inspecting the insulation characteristics between the positive electrode 13 and the negative electrode 14.
