PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize characteristics of a switching power supply device under a variety of conditions. SOLUTION: The moving average of the output voltage of a DC converter 10 is calculated by a digital filter 22 that is synchronously operated by clock pulses together with an A/D converter 21 and a D/A converter 23, and the ratio of the on-time and the off-time of a switching element 12 is adjusted by comparing the obtained result and a set voltage. The clock pulses inputted to the A/D converter 21, the digital filter 22 and the D/A converter 23 change the frequency characteristic and the responsiveness of the power supply device 2 by using a normal clock frequency when a load little fluctuates, and by using a high-speed clock frequency higher in frequency than the normal frequency when the load fluctuates at the start of the power supply device 2.
