摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly accurate positioning device which can realize accurate positioning for an optical system of a recording medium by minute movement at a comparatively low cost. SOLUTION: This highly accurate positioning device is provided with a driving unit 1 for minutely moving a flat plate type recording medium 10 for recording/reproducing information by light with respect to the optical system in a plane direction. The driving unit 1 comprises a unit main body 2 formed in a frame form, a first drive frame 3 housed inside of the unit main body 2, and a second drive frame 4 housed inside of the first drive frame 3 and fixed to the vicinity of the recording part 11 of the recording medium 10. The first drive frame 3 can be freely moved in a plane direction of the recording medium 10 via a minute drive element 5 with respect to the unit main body 2. Also, the second drive frame 4 can be freely moved in the plane direction of the recording medium 10 and in a direction almost right angle to the movement of the first drive frame 3 via the minute drive element 5, and the recording medium 10 is minutely moved in its plane direction.
