PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily store/sort data into copy folders in related file units. SOLUTION: A storage device 1 comprises an I/F part 21 for exchanging data with a DSC 2, a recording control part 24 for recording data from the I/F part 21 on a recording medium 23 via a driver 22, and a copy start SW 3 for instructing the recording control part 24 to start direct copying. Copy source files stored in the DSC 2 are copied so that consecutively dated files are collected in a copy folder whose creation date/time is the latest file creation date/time of the consecutively dated files.
