PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide for generating a step in depressing force mechanism for a pedal device, allowing drastic reduction of the number of components to further simplify a structure. SOLUTION: In this mechanism for generating a step in depressing force 10, a guide part 6 formed in a pedal lever 3 is movably disposed with an end part 5a of a sensor lever 5 of a depressed amount detection means 4 such that the sensor lever 5 moves interlockingly with depressing of the pedal lever 3, and a required portion of the guide part 6 is provided with a resistance addition means 11 adding resistance to the movement of the end part of the sensor lever 5. Because for generating a step in depressing force is accomplished by the simple structure such that the guide part 6 is provided with the resistance addition means 11, the number of the components is reduced to complete the mechanism for generating a step in depressing force at low cost.
