PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a container for a photographic processing agent avoiding decrease in the washing property inside the container due to a recess which is formed to prevent erroneous loading in an automatic developing machine. SOLUTION: A recess 26 to prevent erroneous loading in an automatic developing machine 100 is formed on the outer side face 22 of the container 12 for a photographic processing agent. The recess 26 is disposed at a position above 1/3 of the height of the outer side face 22 of the container 12 for a photographic processing agent, with the maximum depth of 1/2 or less of the width in the horizontal cross section of the container 12 for a photographic processing agent. As for washing, a washing liquid W injected from a washing nozzle 130 can reach every corner in the bottom 20 side opposing the mouth section 37 without interrupted by the recess 26, and therefore, the photographic processing agent remaining in the bottom 20 side can be reliably rinsed out by the washing liquid W and reliably supplied to the automatic developing machine.
