OPTICAL ISOLATOR AND OPTICAL MODULE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the constitution of an optical isolator and to prevent reflection on an end face. SOLUTION: Only a faraday rotator is used as an element constituting the optical isolator. The Faraday rotator is fixed to an end face of a support body having a certain tilt angleθO and is mounted on an end face on one side of a ferrule, so that the optical isolator wherein unnecessary reflection on the end face is prevented and an optical module having the optical isolator which can be connected to a connector are realized.
