PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a moving speed of an inkjet head whereby the inkjet head can be appropriately moved to cope with characteristics variation and load of each carriage motor, and to provide a moving speed controlling device and an inkjet printer. SOLUTION: There are set a target movement control process of controlling an acceleration movement of the inkjet head 61 so that the moving speed becomes a set target speed; a speed detection process of detecting a reach moving speed Vr of the inkjet head 61 at a shift position from the acceleration movement to a uniform velocity movement; a table selection process of selecting on the basis of the reach moving speed Vr, one speed control table T from a plurality of speed control tables T which preliminarily set moving speeds of at least the uniform velocity movement and a deceleration movement; and a table movement control process of controlling the movement of the inkjet head 61 on the basis of the selected one speed control table T.
