PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of an inorganic decorative board in which desired optional patterns are accurately and surely formed with satisfactory reproducibility, the patterns mixedly containing delicate line patterns, dotted patterns or partial color changes appearing on the surface of, e.g., natural stone, regardless of smooth or irregular patterns of the inorganic board surface, and which has such high design and is durable for a long period of use, keeping good appearance. SOLUTION: In this production method of the inorganic board, patterning is performed by jetting ink from a nozzle of an ink jet printer onto the surface of the inorganic board applied with a primary colored coating film on the surface in advance, then clear coating is applied to whole the surface of the inorganic board. Picture accuracy of the patterning by the ink jet printer is in the range of 100-600 DPI (dots per inch) in both lateral and longitudinal directions of a substrate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
