PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To employ a genuine consumable unit from which reasonable print result is obtained without anxiety by rapidly promoting user's purchasing eagerness of the consumable unit.

SOLUTION: A host computer PC is configured to acquire the number of times of exchange of the consumable unit which is consumed by a printer 404, and to make a printer 404 printed out discount information to discount a purchase price of the consumable unit which user purchases in accordance with the frequency of exchange.
