PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a carry and directionality and the function of protecting a piezoelectric element.

SOLUTION: The golf club shaft has a piezoelectric element 3 converting a deforming force of an impact to electric power and controlling the vibration characteristics of a shaft by the electric power. The shaft is composed by stacking a plurality of fiber reinforced resin prepregs one upon another and arranging the piezoelectric element 3 in the distal end or intermediate portion or throughout the full length and between layers of the shaft.
