PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processor for an electromagnetic compass that controls an offset voltage generated in a process of analog signal processing and automatically controls a signal amplification ratio. SOLUTION: The processor comprises an analog signal processor (52) which amplifies signals (Sx, Sy) from a magnetic field sensor (51) and controls signal amplification (A) and offset voltage (Vos) generated in the amplification process; an AD converter (53) which converts analog signals (Vadc)(Vadcx, Vadcy) from the analog signal processor (52) into digital signals, and a digital signal processor (54) which measures the maximum value (Vadc_max) and the minimum value (Vadc_min) of the digital signals input from the AD converter (53) and outputs an offset control signal (Soc) obtained by the maximum value and the minimum value and a gain control signal (Sgc) to the analog signal processor (52).
