PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device which comes down in weight, improves high-speed followability, improves accuracy in assembly and reduces the tilt of a lens in a tilting direction. SOLUTION: A pair of right and left through-holes 33-36, which penetrate a york 18 facing a driving magnet 15 across a driving coil 12, are formed in a lens holder 3 holding an objective lens 2 in a focusing direction, and at least the forkedly formed tips of the york 18 are each exposed to the openings of the through-holes 33-36. The lens holder 3 comes down in weight by forming the through-holes 33-36 in the lens holder 3 and forming the york 18 forkedly.
