PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load cell for measuring a body weight or the like having a structure using a board-like load cell which is a general load cell, and capable of suppressing an influence of a partially placed load. SOLUTION: This load cell 1 for measuring the body weight has a structure wherein a step (placing table) 3 with sectional shape one size larger than that of a base 2 is covered on the base 2, and is constituted so that compression springs 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d are disposed on four spots between the base 2 and the step 3. The compression springs are arranged so as to energize the step 3 upward in the pushing-up direction. The board-like load cell 5 is disposed on the center part between the base 2 and the step 3. The load cell 5 has a board-like shape, and its base end part 51 is fixed on the upper face of the base 2 together with a fixing member 52 by a bolt 61, and a cradle 54 is fixed by a bolt 62 on the movable side 53 of the load cell 5.
