PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor cushioning material which is used by directly sticking the floor cushioning material to a wood floor material and has an excellent shape-holding property, a good sound-proof property, and a good floor surface-stepping touch. SOLUTION: This floor cushioning material comprising a yarn layer which comprises high melting point yarns and thermally fusing yarns is characterized in that the yarn layer has a basis mass of 50 to 400 g/m<SP>2</SP>, an initial compression modulus of elasticity of 0.1 to 5.0 N/cm<SP>2</SP>×100%, and a compressive deformation of 1.0 to 3.0 mm. It is preferable that the constituting ratio of the high melting point yarns to the thermally fusing yarns is 30/70 to 90/10. The high melting point yarns may be solid yarns or hollow yarns or their blends. The single fiber fineness of the yarns is preferably 3 to 30 dtex. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
