PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical coating method for a pipe inner surface by which a pipe to be coated is not burdened with high pressure, temporary work is easy and which can easily be adaptive to a change in a pipe diameter and to a complicated shape change in various kinds of pipe inner surface such as a bent section, and to provide an apparatus used for the method. SOLUTION: In the coating apparatus and the coating method for the pipe inner surface, an air stream 15 is made in the pipe 1 to be coated by using a vacuum pump 6, a windmill 8 which rotates at high speed by receiving the air stream is provided in the pipe and a coating feeding device 9 for feeding a coating 10a from an upstream side toward the windmill 8 is provided and a spray 10c of the coating is transported by being put on the air stream 15 by the rotating windmill in the pipe to apply the coating onto the pipe inner surface.
