PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly execute the elevating and lowering operation of a gas cylinder in a round type rotary chair in which the gas cylinder is used for a leg post. SOLUTION: The push valve 16 of the gas cylinder 3 is positioned at the upper end of the gas cylinder 3. A seat receiving base 7 is provided with a receiving cylinder 18 concentric with the push valve 16 and a second operation body 38 is freely vertically movably fitted to the receiving cylinder 18. The inward part 9a of a unit lever 9 is fixed to a first operation body 29. While a chevron-shaped part 38a narrowed at the top is formed on the second operation body 38, an actuating cylinder 34 surrounding the chevron-shaped part 38a is provided on the first operation body 29. When the first operation body 29 is horizontally moved, the second operation body 38 is lowered and the push valve 16 is pushed. Thus, the push valve 16 is operated in both cases of vertically moving the unit lever 9 and horizontally moving it in a radial direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
