1277367 Animal feeds WIGGINS TEAPE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Ltd 19 April 1970 [24 Feb 1970] 8842/70 Heading A2B A method of producing an animal feed comprises the steps of draining the solids from the backwater or whitewater containing cellulose fibres and clay of a paper-making process, pressing the resultant mass to produce a crumble containing about 50% by wt. moisture and mixing with the crumble a cereal and/or protein supplement together with about 2% by weight of minerals and vitamins. The feed may comprise barley, urea, soya bean flour, calcium, phosphorous, sodium chloride, manganese, zinc, cobalt, copper, kaolin and vitamins A+D. The crumble may be treated with propionic acid prior to the mixing step. The seed may be in pellet form. |
