A music composition information acquisition request transmitted from a client terminal (CT) is continuously received at a particular time interval. Music information corresponding to the acquisition request is transmitted to the client terminal (CT) together with timing information for specifying the timing of transmission of the next acquisition request, thereby controlling the acquisition request poling interval. Thus, it is possible to disperse to ones which transmit an acquisition request at a particular time interval and ones which receive an acquisition request according to the timing specification information. That is, it is possible to prevent concentration of the acquisition requests on the associated information providing server (KS) by the simple method.
