<p>The invention relates to producing oxidised graphite use for producing a cellular graphite and can be used for producing flexible foil in the form a fire and heat protection material, sorbents used for the nuclear and chemical industries, metallurgy, heat-power engineering etc. The inventive method for producing oxidised graphite consists in supplying an electronically conductive graphite suspension in electrolyte to a reaction space between an anode and cathode, subsequently anodising graphite by passing current without a free electrolyte and without pressing it against the anode with formation of an expandable compound to be incorporated into graphite and in successively hydrolysing, washing and drying the thus produced oxidised graphite. A rotary device for carrying out said method and a coaxial electrode device are also disclosed. Said invention makes it possible to produce a high quality particle-homogenous graphite, increase process efficiency and to lower costs.</p> |
