PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing lignocellulose media possessing Fe or Al, by which effective eliminator is possible not only for phosphorous contained in seawater, freshwater and wastewater but also for arsenic from underground water and mine wastewater, has high adsorption capacity for phosphorous or arsenic ever at low concentrations, and is cheap due to easy regeneration. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (a) after dissolving a compound containing Fe or Al in water, adding acid thereto to dissociate Fe or Al; (b) adding lignocellulose to the aqueous solution of the step (a) to absorb Fe or Al thereinto; and (c) substituting hydrogen of hydroxyl group attached to cellulose and lignin in Fe or Al absorbed lignocellulose to Fe or Al using a fixing solution or a fixing gas, wherein the fixing solution or fixing gas is an alkaline solution or an alkaline gas.
