A system providing an interactive virtual model or "white body" builder ("WBB") interconnected with different groups involved in an enterprise centr ic activity related to the design, simulation, and evaluation of mechanical components. Mesh, assembly and evaluation data of predetermined components, after a virtual assembly or test and evaluation, becomes available for desig n input and refinement to all participating members associated in a task group through a network in which a continually updated master database is maintain ed.
