1278342 Glazing ceramic articles VE WISSENSCHAFTLICH - TECHNISCHER BETRIEB KERAMIK 14 May 1970 23411/70 Heading C1M A process for glazing ceramic articles comprises the steps of conveying an article 6 in one orientation under a heating channel 1 to heat the article up to a temperature in the range 70‹ to 130‹ C., passing it through a plurality of glazing curtains directed downwardly from spray nozzles, re-heating the article by passing it through a second heating channel 11, reversing the orientation of the article using a turntable 3 and finally moving it through a second set of glazing curtains 21. Each heating channel has a conveyer 7 and a plurality of heat sources 9 which are adjustable in height. The glazing curtains are produced by four spray nozzles 15 of adjustable inclination. Two of the nozzles 15 are inclined in the direction of movement of the article 6 and the other two inclined in the opposite direction.
